Sustainable Environmental Management Company (SEMCO) (a dba of Huls Environmental Management, LLC) is a holistic consultancy established in 1995 and formally incorporated in California in January 2000. SEMCO serves public agencies and the private sector in all aspects of sustainable materials management (SMM). SEMCO is particularly adept at designing, implementing, and funding innovative and sustainable resource conservation programs aimed at eliminating wasting in all its forms. It has strong skills in conducting compliance, waste and forensic audits, rate studies, sustainability research, SSM program development and implementation, organics recovery, waste prevention, education and public outreach, and funding.
SEMCO staff have a collective 150 plus years in experience and expertise, ranging from governmental leadership to corporate governance to education at private and public institutions. SEMCO is a minority-owned small business enterprise certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise by the California Unified Certification Program (CUCP#14949) and as a Small Business Enterprise by LA County (DCBA #089899).
SEMCO maintains its corporate home office in the Los Angeles area of California, and has a branch office in Atlanta, Georgia.
